The Haas Brothers x ADLAR Studio
The Haas Brothers, twins Nikolai and Simon, explore aesthetic and formal themes related to nature, science fiction, sexuality, psychedelia and color theory in prolific materials.
-
Our collaboration with the Haas Brothers happened organically and it was our first to sell out.
-
Since founding the Haas Brothers in 2010, they have evolved from fabricators and collaborators to nimble cross-pollinators in creative disciplines including fashion, film, music, art and design. They apply their unique approach to a multitude of materials, ranging from brass, bronze, beads, porcelain, and fur to highly technical resins and polyurethane. Often functional in form, their work continues to challenge the slippery divide between art and design.
The Haas Brothers’ sleek forms nevertheless retain traces of artisanal handiwork. Since founding their eponymous studio in 2010, the duo has exhibited in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Zürich, Venice, and Tokyo, among other cities, and their work has been acquired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. The Haas Brothers have also published a children’s book and collaborated with Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Versace. Their work has sold for six figures at auction.
