Sapere Aude #7

Print details

  • In 2016, Shane Guffogg began the "Sapere Aude" series, inspired by light's movements and his physical gestures, creating each painting spontaneously. The works blend calligraphic forms with subconscious expression, resulting in a new realism influenced by Old Masters like da Vinci, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt. The light sources reflect the viewer's presence, illuminating subconscious moments.

  • For this project, ADLAR turned this 7ft painting into a limited edition print with Augmented Reality (AR) activation.


    The addition of AR brings these ideas into the 4th dimension, merging traditional painting techniques with modern technology to create a deeper connection for the art and the viewer.
